Silence……..

This will be short and sweet and to the point….

For a change.

I am out of words today folks. I know, I know, astonishment rolls across the universe at the thought. But it is true.

Can you hear the crickets singing in my brain cuz I sure can………

A 2.5 hour phone call with a friend used them all up.

And then there was the little “cookie incident” that I am still trying to recover from. Trying a new recipe, also monitoring my bread dough that is rising…and I forgot a key ingredient in the cookies. And realized it only after the first batch had been in the oven for about 4 minutes. Just long enough that I couldn’t pull them back out, throw everything back into the mixing bowl and add the Cheerios.

Yes, I said Cheerios.

The recipe is for these “Breakfast Cookies” and it looks really yummy, with peanut butter and chocolate chips in it but I will just have to wait for another day to find out because I just am not going to mix up another batch of cookies today.

The cookies could have raisins in them instead of chocolate chips but I thought that was just not right. I know, I know. There are people who love the combo of peanut butter and raisins. The whole “ants on a log” thing. But I am not one of them.

Sniff.

I was so disappointed that I didn’t even take a picture.

That is disappointment.

Oh well, there are enchiladas for dinner and then there is The Biggest Loser AND Glee to look forward to.

And to quote Katie Scarlett O’Hara, “Tomorrow is another day.”

  1. Can I just say you're not alone with that kind of recipe snafu?

I too am looking forward to Glee. I haven't been as much into The Biggest Loser this season for some reason but maybe I'll tune in tonight.

  2. I've never seen Glee and only watch The Biggest Loser when I'm in the mood for a bag of chips. I'm sorry the cookies didn't work out, but I hope the nice long phone call was fantastic.

  3. I do not confess the recipes I've messed up nor the food I've wasted. It's one of my secret private behavior.
