A Rainy Day in Cleveland Town

It is raining…

Again…

Continually….

For the rest of my days.

But that doesn’t deter the birds at the feeder by my office window.

IMG_1672AThere is the Red Bellied Woodpecker. Who doesn’t seem to ever peck wood. He just eats bird seed from my feeder. And occasionally he gets suet if I remember to put it out. Which, if I am honest, isn’t all that often.

IMG_1680A IMG_1677A Then there are my Rose Breasted Grosbeaks. Oh how I love them.

I really just wanted to write Rose BREASTED Grosbeaks.

Childish I know.

The Hummingbirds are pretty scarce at the moment, it is a bit early in the season although I have seen one male. But that doesn’t mean that the feeder isn’t in use…..

IMG_1664A IMG_1658A IMG_1660A IMG_1661A The Baltimore Orioles have made their appearance. They don’t stay long but they seem to like the Hummingbird feeder which is good cuz that is all they get.

IMG_1666AWhat? You mean this isn’t an Oriole Feeder? Tastes just fine to me.

And of course there are the squirrels.

IMG_1667A Darn it! How do I get into this thing?

IMG_1669A Oh those seeds are so close and yet so far! How do I open this thing. I need longer arms.

I am sorry for the next picture.

One would think that I have nothing better to do with my day than sit in my computer chair and take pictures of the birds.

And one would, on occasion, be right.

  2. A Baltimore Oriole! I'm so jealous. I haven't seen one of those in years!! Gorgeous.

Ok, that's it. I'm putting my hummingbird feeder out now too. I think I need a hanging one like yours though. Mine sticks to our sliding glass door, so big birds like yours either don't fit on it or won't come that close to the house.

  3. We must be in the same weather region because it's been raining, raining, raining, raining here. We did mix it up a little while ago though and had some devasting winds. That was a little different. Ughhhh. My hair even looks sad lately.

Thanks for posting some pics that made me smile :)
