Oh to have the enthusiasm for worship that the young fellow who sits in front of us does. He is a young man with Down's Syndrome and his joy and participation in worship is always sky high.
This young fellow is everyone's friend. He has a smile for all or a handshake or a hug. And when the music and singing starts he is a total participant in worship. When I say total I mean not just singing but bodily. He has his hands raised or is playing his own set of "air drums" on the back of the pew in front of him, or is clapping his hands. A total body experience.
And when we listen to the sermon he has his arm around his dad's shoulder, rubbing his back and smiling at him on occasion or putting his head on his dad's shoulder. Wonderful.
