Friday had come around again, just in time to bore you silly with little bits of life.
You have been warned.

Let’s do a 30 second Max the Magnificent update shall we. That way you will know and won’t need to email me.
I like emails though.
But I digress.
MtM is doing better. The jury is still out on whether the Flagyl is doing all that it should…….
Please review THIS POST so that I don’t have to describe the issue. PLEASE.
We are moving him back to his regular diet and seeing how everything goes. His intestinal issues haven’t totally resolved themselves so he may have to go back to see Dr. Jeremy next week. We are just waiting until he is done with his ……
Well, even as I wrote that the vet’s office called so I was able to tell them about his so far 50/50 recovery. MtM is definitely perkier. He is eating without complaint. But the production at the other end is still not as it should be.
Aren’t you SO GLAD to be visiting a blog where we have no problem talking about the dog’s bodily functions.
I will say that I am still doing research on whether to switch him over to a diet that we produce here at home. The jury is still out on that one also.

The NBA Finals. It holds a great deal of importance for us at the moment cuz, well, cuz we need a championship. Cleveland is the Sahara desert of sports championships.
Dry, dry, dry, dry.
Any other time, if the Cavs weren’t playing in the finals, I would be wholeheartedly rooting for Golden State. I really like that team.
But not this time. This time we root whole heartedly for LeBron and Kyrie and Mosgov and The Dellinator and SHHHHHHHHHHHHUMPERT! and Thompson and J.R. and Perkins the Enforcer and all the others on the team.
And can I just say, LeBron PLEASE stop trying to hit those 3’s from way outside. You are the best player in the NBA….but you cannot make those.
These are my new obsessive snack. Pistachios. I blame the in-laws actually. They had a bowl of these just sitting on the counter when last we visited Arizona. I had one. I had another.
Then I ate about 10 thousand more after that.
And now I cannot stop myself. I might also have pulled HHBL into the pistachio posse. We went through an entire bag of them last week….a bag that cost $10. The pistachios that you see above are from the bag that I bought THIS week.
Plus then there was the added bonus for the hidden Pistachio porn that I found in the bag today.
In the words of George Tekai, “Oh MY!”
Pistachios how I love thee. Let me count the ways…..after I eat you.

We all know that I read…….a bit…….some……..obsessively whenever there is a free moment. I try to vary reading, sometime using my iPad and sometimes the “old fashioned” way. I think it helps with my reading and retention to do it both ways.
Hmmmmm, that sounded sort of porn-like. We will leave it right there.
I have to make a confession though. I really don’t like reading on my iPad. It is heavy and sometimes I find that it is hard on my eyes. The thing that the iPad had/has going for it is that I have books scattered between Amazon and Nook. I started out with a nook and have a boat load of books there. But at some point I decided that I would just concentrate on Kindle books. It is easier that way. The ebooks that I check out from the library can be requested in Kindle form. Yada Yada Yada.
I have been thinking periodically about getting a Kindle, just for reading. I would think about it and then decide no. Then I would think some more and say no. Then I realized that what I was going to need wasn’t a Kindle but a Kindle Paperwhite, which has the lighted screen. I dithered. I thought. I contemplated.
And then I was a Best Buy today……….for an entirely different and work related reason. I had looked online to see if they had a Kindle Paperwhite in stock there and it said no, that it could be ordered but would take several days. I figured that I would just order it from Amazon then and be done with it.
But when I went to Best Buy…….there was one, just one Kindle Paperwhite on the shelf.
I will take that thankyouverymuch.
You know that anticipation that you get when you have something new and you have to wait until you get all the way home before you can play with it.
Yeah, I had that all the way home. It was a horrendous 10 minute drive that I thought would last forever.
The Paperwhite is all powered up and I have done a bit of reading on her. I don’t have a name for her yet but I can tell you with confidence that we are going to be very good friends.

I am forever again feeling a cleaning out urge. Really, it never actually goes away, even when I spent two years cleaning out 50% (really more) of the stuff we owned and giving it away.
We still have too much stuff. I still have too much stuff.
The main focus of my cleaning out thoughts at the moment is the scrap booking supplies that reside in the closet in the bathroom right next to my woman cave. The Creative Memories horde taunts me. I know it is there, even though the door to the closet is closed. I can hear all the stickers and paper whispering in the quiet, mocking me for all the money that it represents.
Oh goodness. I did not make all that successful a CM consultant. I would have been better served in the end just being a client. When you don’t make your minimums selling to others you have to make that up by ordering stuff for yourself. “I know that I am going to make all these albums” is the lie that many of us told ourselves.
The question is what to do with all of that stuff. At the moment I am thinking about stream lining the process to just get the albums done and then jettisone all the rest. The photos need to be in something and I have the resources.
I just don’t have the motivation at the moment. So the stickers will continue to mock me until I work out in my brain what needs to be done.
I will say that I spent a bit of time cleaning out my closet. I have been diligent about the “one in, one out” theory for a while now. I bought a skirt last week, I got rid of one. Zero sum. But there is stuff in there that was from before I went to a Zero sum attitude. Any tee shirts that were worn or stained were removed and have been converted to tee shirt yarn. I am going to make a BIG rag rug for my kitchen and I am going to knit it with tee shirt yarn. I also cleaned out several dresses that I bought and wore once, hated myself in and never wore again. Baby steps.

I am officially calling this “The Summer of the Wedding”. HHBL and I are attending three weddings, all within the span of six weeks at the end of summer. PLUS I am coordinating four weddings (one down, three to go).
Good thing I like them.

Instagram. Because I never have a #7 to tell you about.
OMG your instagram food shots are totally food porn. Enough said.
