My Tool Chest Happiness

2014-11-11 13.17.39

Until Tuesday afternoon, this is what my tool area looked like. All of my screwdrivers and hammers and wrenches and utility knives and tape measures and saws and chisels were rattling around in that bag with the red around the top and stored wherever I could find a place. I couldn’t find ANYTHING when I wanted it. It was all so disorganized and muddled and we all know how much I do not like to be disorganized.

You do know that right? Because if you don’t then you obviously haven’t been hanging around here for all that long. I am the woman that cleans out and reorganizes things for fun.

I know. Sick.

But now…….my tool area does not look like this any longer. That is because for the last 6 months I have been saving, a bit here and a bit there until there was enough to get………..

Oh look at all it’s metaly red goodness. I could hardly wait to get the box home and unpacked and all set up.

I go downstairs at random times of the day just to look at her and get all happy and joyful that my tools are all together in one place and easily gotten to without me sticking my hand down into the recesses of that tool bag of death and cutting myself on something. Or just rooting around in it and throwing imprecations up to the heavens because all that I could find was a phillips head screw driver when I needed a flat head.

It doesn’t take much to make me happy.

And I have found that I seem to have A LOT of screw drivers. Did they breed in the dark recesses of the tool bag?

  1. Your tool chest is gorgeous, but since I don't have enough tools to fill one that large, I'd have to to use some of the space for yarn and knitting needles.
