If only we could put a locked fence around our plot too! Those booby traps BareeAnne was talking about sound mighty tempting! (Maybe something along the line of what that French woman in "Lost" used to set.) It is believed that some of the less "successful" gardeners who have plots there are taking produce from more successful gardeners. There are a number of plots where the produce IS going to waste as the gardeners have stopped coming evidently. I would love to pick this one fellows harvest of soon to be rotting tomatoes....but I don't. Sigh.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11326484192966920116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8820369028684428764.post-67553625941666812212010-09-09T04:08:54.234-04:002010-09-09T04:08:54.234-04:00Ripe tomatoes are a terrible temptation. In many places in the world (like in Boston), community gardens have fences, and individual plots are practically encased and booby-trapped to keep others out. <br />I'm all for the practice of gleaning. I just hate to see things go to waste. But this should be done AFTER the last harvest...and not whilst the gardener still wants her summer BLT's!BarbeeAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05440056522766291669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8820369028684428764.post-71337597105469121832010-09-08T21:42:07.514-04:002010-09-08T21:42:07.514-04:00Good job on the garden your first year!
